Our team has brought on several talented new team members over the past year. One of them is Kallie Butler, a gifted writer, designer and communicator. In addition to her professional skills, Kallie brings an incredible can-do attitude to our team. She’s also a natural relationship builder and creative thinker who isn’t afraid to push herself out of her comfort zone.
Kallie grew up an hour south of Nashville in Columbia, Tenn., also known as “Mule Town, USA.” She studied for two years at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before transferring to the University of North Alabama to complete her studies. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in marketing. Prior to joining Pierce PR, Kallie managed media relations, social media, graphic design and internal communications for a mental health nonprofit in Huntsville, Alabama.

1. What’s your favorite part about working at Pierce PR?
I never knew the term “dream team” could be so fitting. The women I work with are my absolute favorite part of Pierce PR. The company culture (non-stop communication and ever-inspiring environment) I’m surrounded by makes Monday-Friday never feel like work. We have a unique dynamic, and I admire our style.
2. What is your proudest career moment so far and why?
The short answer is joining Pierce PR — no question! However, I’m also proud of the journey that brought me to my current role. It’s challenging to enter the agency world without prior agency experience. I came to Pierce from an in-house role, so I had to put in extra work to prove my capabilities and potential. Before joining the Pierce team, I spent two years building relationships. I met some incredible creative minds and discovered what I truly wanted in a career. My passion for networking authentically with others ultimately led me exactly where I was meant to be — at Pierce PR!
3. What is your favorite social platform and why?
From home décor styling tips and recipes to social media template ideas, Pinterest is my favorite, go-to resource for inspiration. Pinterest was one of the first social platforms to share ideas and tips. People aren’t “liking” posts without a reason; they engage because they’re finding value in the content and applying it to various areas in their lives.
4. What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
My free time is dependent on my mental health needs! A typical day off starts with some type of specialty coffee that differentiates my morning from a “normal” day. From there, I usually like to soak in family and fur baby time, shop local for new home décor, get active outside, enjoy yoga, plan my next vacation or simply relax on the couch and watch reality TV.
5. What advice would you give to your younger self?
I journal often, so I love to look back and read the advice I’ve had for myself over the years. I would tell college Kallie to value her internship experience. Apply and reach out to every company that interests her. Dream big — the result of a single application or email could be a happy surprise.
I’d also remind her that everything always works out the way it should so she doesn’t need to worry so much! I’d tell her that she can never take enough pictures. Even if it seems silly, take the photo, be in the moment and enjoy the memories.
6. What are three words that describe you?
The three most accurate words to describe me are authentic, inspired and reliable.
