Operations Manager

The operations manager plays a vital role in supporting the culture and growth of Pierce PR. Working closely with the firm’s director of operations, president and VP of client experience, key priorities include recruitment and HR support, internal operations and event execution, business development support, process development and support, and administrative and scheduling support. 

This team member will coordinate cross-functional needs that contribute to employee engagement, client relationship development and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is hyper-organized, detail-oriented, adaptable and energized by supporting a collaborative and people-focused culture. No two days will look the same, and that’s exactly what excites them. 

Annual responsibilities and KPIs will be reviewed quarterly to track progress, provide feedback and support professional development. 

CORE Responsibilities:

Recruitment & HR Support: 
  • Assist with recruitment efforts for all levels.
  • Help run the year-round internship program. 
  • Support the president and director of operations on HR-related projects.
  • Research and identify potential outside vendors or business partners to support HR and operational needs. 

Internal Operations & Event Execution: 
  • Coordinate internal trainings and firm-wide events. 
  • Lead logistics for team-building activities and culture-enhancing events. 
  • Support the administration and analysis of team engagement surveys. 

Business Development Support: 
  • Collaborate with the firm’s president to support business development efforts.
  • Maintain outreach trackers and ensure meetings, materials and notes are logged and up to date. 

Process Development & Support: 
  • Assist the VP of client experience with scheduling and maintaining quarterly performance and growth path check-ins. 
  • Support the execution and evolution of onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Help improve and maintain various internal operational processes across the firm.

Administrative & Scheduling Support: 
  • Coordinate firmwide scheduling and logistics. 
  • Manage ad hoc administrative tasks to support the leadership team and broader agency needs. 
  • Own the internal team celebration calendar, ensuring birthdays, anniversaries and milestones are recognized.

Hours and location

This is a full-time role based in Nashville, TN. The team operates in a remote environment but meets periodically for in-person team meetings, client events and more.

Along with drive, self-motivation and a passion for collaboration, your previous experience and attributes will include:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in any combination of the following fields:
  • HR, recruiting/talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, employee relations, internal communications, PR, operations, sales/business development, administration  
  • Strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment 
  • Enthusiastic, accessible, detail-oriented and a strong communicator
  • Extremely organized with an ability to juggle multiple deliverables at once
  • Embraces change at a growing firm and strives for excellence across all tasks 
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with team members across all levels   
  • Identifies problems/issues and looks for sustainable solutions 
  • Strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ mentality 
  • Quick turnaround time with all tasks; displays resourcefulness
